Bajra Flour

Bajra flour is made from the small round grains of black millet, also called bajra. When the bajra is ripe and ready to be harvested, the plants are cut and tied in bundles and allowed to dry. The bundles are threshed to separate the grains. The grains are dried and then processed into flour.

Benefit:

• Bajra is rich in magnesium, which helps keep the heart healthy.
• It has potassium, which dilates blood vessels, allowing blood to flow more easily. This helps reduce overall blood pressure.
• Bajra also has fibre that helps reduce LDL, or bad, cholestrol.
• Because of its high fibre content, it tends to digest slowly and release glucose at a slower rate as compared to other foods. This helps in maintaining healthy blood sugar levels for a long period of time.                                                                               

Use: Include in multigrain bread , koftas , rotis , paratha and even included in some snack recipes
